Long ago, before the rise of the Royal Sisters, the land of Equestria was a place of eternal unrest and unhappiness ruled by Discord, the spirit of chaos and disharmony. Discord's reign was a time of madness where monsters prowled the landscape and reality tied itself in knots. Where pesky things like physics took a back seat to garish colors, wild squalls of flying confections and the tormented cries of Equestria's ponies. It was hilarious.

But that was, as has been said, a very long time ago. Before the princesses. Before the Elements of Harmony. Before Fluttershy.

These days Discord's a reformed model citizen of Equestria who would never dream of causing problems for his dear little pony friends. What's that? Oh, that. You were a tap dancing rutabaga when you came in. Honestly.

Physical Appearance A loose description of Discord's appearance would be to say that he resembles an Asian dragon, with an added pair of mismatched wings, standing on its hind legs. An accurate description of Discord's appearance makes the Laws of Biology pour themselves a stiff drink and mumble something about how that smug jerk Physics never has to deal with things like this. Discord is a chimerea-esque creature known as a draconequus. He is described as having "the head of a pony", though it's far more elongated and equine in appearance than those of the 'true' ponies that appear in the show. He has shaggy eyebrows above a set of large yellow eyes with red pupils, a goat horn and deer antler growing out of his head and a short, stiff mane running down his long neck. One large fang protrudes from his upper lip. Discord's torso is long and sinuous, his forelimbs being a lion's paw and an eagle's talon while his hind limbs are those of a goat and a lizard. Toss in a goatee and a tufted snake tail and you've got the patchwork headache that is The Spirit of Chaos.
